
My Purple Garage was the idea of our own lady driver who found that going to a garage could be a ‘difficult’ experience for many women and men.
We focus on excellent customer service, friendly advice and explanation, and generally making the necessity of car maintenance a much more enjoyable experience. If you want to know how your car works and why it’s gone wrong, we’ll tell you. If you don’t want to know, we won’t tell you that you should. After all, you are allowed to just want to drive the thing.
Our mechanics are paid a flat wage and do not receive bonuses according to how much work they do. They also like coffee and doughnuts and sitting about when possible.
Visiting My purple Garage is a pleasurable experience. The garage is easy to find - the atmosphere is relaxing and convivial. Sarah and guys are lovely and very professional - you know that your vehicle is in good hands. The most important part though is that unlike most garages they advise you on what is going on and you don't get ripped off. - Debbie

My experience with My Purple Garage was second to none, from walking through the door to collecting my car, nothing was too much trouble. They are friendly, fast and carry out the work properly ... Even when I had to take my car back 3 times!!!

My experience of My Purple Garage is that the service is impeccable, from the first phone call which is really reassuring , down to the actual service and the price , I have taken two cars to them , one that needed a diagnosis and although it was not clear at all what was wrong , I was given a very fair price on the fault finding - what a refreshing change !!!
The second car was in for service and MOT, which again came out at a fair price and also washed.
I have no hesitation in using this garage and also recommending it. -

I go to My Purple Garage for the free donuts. And the cup of tea that is always waiting for me. Ha ha! Ok, seriously... I was looking for a reliable trustworthy garage as my dealer garage was too expensive. My Purple Garage's quirky website caught my eye (along with the free donuts) and I haven't gone anywhere since (well, the car obviously has moved but I wont go to another garage). The staff are helpful, friendly and not at all patronising. I felt I wasn't being ripped off and was getting best value for money. I would recommend anyone to bring their car here and give it a go. -

I found My Purple Garage to be very convenient, being located in the centre of the city, while not restricted by parking or access problems. A much more personalised approach than found with many service receptions. MOT test carried out with minimum of fuss and attendance to minor defects conducted to ensure test compliance. Estimates received appear to be reasonable with an acceptable assessment of time and labour rates. Having used a small, family run garage for many years, My Purple Garage may well provide the alternative I seek. - Michael
I was letting my fingers do the virtual walk when I happened upon this web-site; My Purple Garage ? I was intrigued, (purple being my favourite colour) I looked further. I loved the web-site and decided to book in for MOT and service; the ladies are very helpful and I was able to drop my car off early and they kept me up to date on progress. When I went to collect my car they were very friendly and welcoming, I felt like a valued customer and I also felt that I had a right to be there, some garages can make a lady feel a lot out of place. I told my friends about the whole experience and will or have booked their cars in for service too. I have to say that I enjoyed the experience and look forward to using them again. - Ali

You delivered a very fast, friendly and honest service. You didn't try to baffle me with technical car jargon, just told me exactly what i needed to know in plain english. The reception area was welcoming & the team were all really helpful, will definitely be back - Angie
